The second best uniforms of the Big Ten are the unmistakable uniforms of the Michigan Wolverines. Since the days of Fielding Yost, Fritz Crisler, and Bo Schembechler, the iconic colors of the maize and blue along with the winged helmets have long been a Michigan staple. Yes others schools have copied the Michigan pattern but none have ever duplicated this one-of-kind uniform.
The home uniforms are predominantly blue with maize numbering both on the chest, back and sleeves. The home pants are also maize. The Wolverine away jerseys are white with blue numbering on both the chest, back, and sleeves. The blue is trimmed with maize. The pants are also maize.
No uniform in history is more synonymous with one team then Michigan’s maize and blue, and I don’t look for that to change any time soon!
