Tennessee at Mississippi State (-3)

Tennessee returns to action for the first time since nearly upsetting Georgia two weeks ago, visiting the undefeated Bulldogs.  The cowbells will be out in force in Starkville on Saturday.

Matt – Tennessee

I haven’t been a believer in Mississippi State all season. Their 5 wins are among the most forgettable in college football this year.  In fact, they have the 106th toughest schedule in the country.  Reality strikes Saturday night when a pretty good Tennessee offense shows up in Starkville.  I’ll gladly take the 3 points, but I think the Vols win this outright.

Tim – Tennessee

This is one of those cases where I don’t think either team is all that good, so I’ll take the points. Don’t believe them when they try to hype Tennessee’s offense against the Bulldog’s defense. The Vols have scored a bunch of points against bad teams and Mississippi State has shut down a bunch of crappy offenses. In a rare move, I’ll take the road SEC team for the win…or at least to cover.

Craig – Mississippi State

I want Mississippi State to lose because I have them under in season win total, but unfortunately Tennessee isn’t very good. I’m going with home team here but will be rooting otherwise.

Corey – Mississippi State

A few weeks ago I listed Tennessee as an up-and-coming team.  Well, the shine is off that helmet.  The Volunteers have lost 2 of their last 3 games, and they have to play Alabama next week.  They better be careful because they are playing one of the SEC’s most underrated teams this week.  The Bulldogs are 5-0 and are looking to do great things in the SEC West this year.  With Coach Dooley not on the sidelines, but in the press box this week, Mississippi State wins this game going away.
