Iowa at Michigan State (-10)

Honestly, we searched for a better game here, but to no avail.  The Hawkeyes head to East Lansing in a big Legends Division match up.  Sparty looks to avoid a 2nd Big 10 loss and Iowa looks for a 2-0 league start.

Matt – Iowa

I’m responsible for picking these games, and I’m not sure what I was thinking when I went with this one.  10 might be the over/under too.  I think Michigan State wins, but with MSU’s questions on offense, and a physical Iowa D, I’ll take the 10 points.

Tim – Michigan State

If we were ranking these picks based on confidence, this would be in last place. There is really no reason to think that Sparty is beating anybody by more than 10 points right now. Still, Iowa is terrible and should struggle to move the ball against the Michigan State defense. I’ll take the Spartans, but I wouldn’t advise you to.

Craig – Iowa

This one is one of the more interesting numbers on the board. MSU is a tough venue but MSU has been struggling offensively. If Iowa can control the clock by running it successfully, the ten-spot should be enough here.

Corey – Michigan State

How low has the VictoryBellRings staff sunk to have to pick a second-rate Big Ten game!  Well, since its on the list, I’m duty-bound to give my pick.  Iowa is coming off a bye week having defeated a previously unbeaten Minnesota team the week before.  Michigan State is coming off a come-from-behind win at Indiana.  That’s right…Indiana!  This is a battle of two putrid offenses, but decent defenses.  Look for this to be a defensive game with the winner being the team that can get to 20 points first.  Something tells me that Michigan State will cover the 10 point spread (Don’t ask me why).  The Spartans get to 20 points first, so they will win.
