LSU (-2.5) at Florida

In the second monster SEC tilt of the weekend, Les Miles brings the Bayou Bengals to The Swamp.  Florida is one of the early season surprises, sitting at 4-0.  The Tigers stumbled their way through a win against Towson last week, while the Gators rested up with a bye.

Matt – Florida

This is a match up of 2 very similar teams that rely on the run game and stout defenses to win games.  If either team is forced to put the ball in the air, it does not bode well.  LSU’s first road test at Auburn nearly ended in disaster, as they held on for a 12-10 win against the hapless Tigers.  The Swamp will be electric on Saturday afternoon, and I like the Gators to not only cover in a close, low scoring ball game, but I think they pull off the upset and win outright.

Tim – Florida

That line probably seems small to some folks but LSU is a little overrated and Florida is at the opposite end of that spectrum. Florida had a bye last week and they get to play LSU in the swamp with two weeks to prepare. Expect a shakeup in the rankings come Sunday.

Craig – LSU

Tempted to go UF but feel that the line is just an overreaction to LSU’s poor play recently. I’m going to go with the more talented team here. I won’t be surprised if this one ends up an upset though.

Corey – Florida

Could this be an upset in the making?  I’m not sure, but it should be a dandy of a game either way.  LSU comes in ranked #4 while the Florida Gators are ranked #10.  Injuries and overall health have plagued the Gators, but they have managed to stay ahead of the injury curve and have kept winning.  Both defenses are really, really good and their respective running games re also really, really good.  So, what gives in the Swamp?  LSU has been rather shaky on offense and were lucky to escape at Auburn and at home against Towson.  While Florida is banged up, I think they get the win that Head Coach Will Muschamp needs to put the program back into national prominence.  Take the Gators, the home dog in this one.
