VBR Against The Spread-Week 5

Texas (-2.5) at Oklahoma State
There is nothing spectacular about this game, but it could be one of the more exciting of the weekend. Two high powered offenses collide in Stillwater in each team’s Big 12 opener.
Matt – Texas
Texas was one of the under the radar teams I liked going into the year, and they have not disappointed. Oklahoma State can score on anyone, but in their one non-conference challenge at Arizona, they gave up 59 in a losing effort. Texas’ offense has been in rhythm from the opening kick, and it continues in Stillwater. Both teams will put up a lot of points, but Texas has a couple more stops in them.
Tim – Texas
This line has been all over the place. Neither team has beat anybody, but I still like the Longhorns defense. Thankfully, we’ll know more about each team after this week.
Craig – Texas
This started off at Ok. St. -5.5 apparently which is a head-scratcher. That makes me think OSU is the right way to play but I’ll just ride with Texas on this one for no good reason.
Corey – Oklahoma State
We still aren’t sure what Texas has, as their biggest win has come at a suspect Ole Miss squad. Oklahoma State lost in a shootout at Arizona, but its clear that they can put up points. While Texas clubbed the Rebels, they still gave up points. I’m going to go with upstart CowPokes and take the points in this one!
