Make sure you know all of the details about Saturday’s annual Blue-White game at Penn State.

The 2017 spring practice season ends for Penn State on Saturday, April 22 with the Blue-White game. The annual scrimmage brings throngs of Nittany Lion fans back to Happy Valley to reunite and partake in activities such as tailgating and piling into Beaver Stadium.

Despite head coach James Franklin’s calls for 107,000 fans to attend the annual scrimmage, the number of fans rarely gets close to capacity of the stadium. Still, a crowd between 60-70 thousand is likely to fill the stands.

Kickoff for Blue-White this year is set for 3:00 p.m. The game will air live on the Big Ten Network.

This year’s game has the potential to be different than those of the past.

Franklin has talked this spring about wanting a more competitive scrimmage. In the past it was usually the starters and main backups against everyone else. That scenario led to a 37-0 victory by the Blue side. This year, look for the first and second units to compete against one another.

Prior to the game there will be the normal fan favorite activities.

The Blue-White Mini Carnival will be on Curtain Road starting at 10:00 a.m. The Fan Festival, also on Curtain Road, will begin at 10:00 a.m. as well. Fans can watch the team arrive at its normal location on the corner of Curtain Rd. and Porter Rd. at 11:30 a.m.

From 12:15-1:05 fans can enter Beaver Stadium early for the popular autograph session. After the session ends, the gates will be closed to the public until 1:30 p.m.

The biggest change to make note of this year is the fact that while admission is still free, parking is not. Fans driving cars and RVs for the day will need to pay $20 on game day to park. Overnight RV and bus parking will be available for $60.

Season ticket holders were given a Blue-White game parking pass with their season passes. The university has said it will not replace passes that have since been lost or misplaced.
