After an eventful offseason at Penn State and tons of predictions and discussions its finally here. Today marks the first Monday of a Penn State football game week for 2014. The journey begins today. VBR hopes that you will take the journey with us all year as we bring you the latest news, previews, and live game coverage throughout the season.

In just five days we will all get our first real look at the 2014 Penn State Nittany Lions when they take the field in the Croke Park Classic in Dublin, Ireland against the UCF Knights.

Since taking over as head coach in January, James Franklin has done and said all the right things. He’s built great excitement for the program and has begun to set the foundation for a very bright future with the way he’s been able to recruit thus far. However, all the talk means nothing if the team is unable to perform on the field.

Of course, there’s a slight chance the game may be affected by that whole volcano thing, but we’ll deal with that later if we need to. Be sure to check this post all week as it will be updated with links to all of VBR’s coverage of the Nittany Lions’ first game.
