Penn State Football Morning Briefing: James Franklin Continues Recruiting, Koa Farmer Moved to Linebacker, and Other News

Tuesday’s Penn State news is dominated by the injury to sophomore tight end Adam Breneman. Though there have been no official details released, head coach James Franklin did say that Breneman will be out indefinitely. The latest word is that it’s a left knee injury that will require some type of surgery.

Fortunately for the Nittany Lions, they are loaded at the tight end position. PennLive takes a closer look at who will fill Breneman’s shoes. Elsewhere, freshman safety Koa Farmer, who stood with the linebackers for photos on Sunday, has been officially moved to linebacker to make up for the depth issues.

Finally, James Franklin is continuing to live up to his recruiting reputation and Penn State first Big Ten opponent for 2014, Rutgers, is previewed.
