It comes as no surprise that Monday’s Penn State news is dominated by the hiring of a new athletic director. Sandy Barbour, formerly the athletic director at  the University of California, was named Penn State’s director of intercollegiate athletics on Saturday afternoon.

Barbour’s challenges at her previous school are documented by a few different outlets. Also, Barbour has already started to form a working relationship with head football coach James Franklin. Finally, in news that doesn’t involve the new hire, a trio of defensive linemen are previewed. Anthony Zettel, C.J. Olaniyan and Carl Nassib are all profiled.
