Penn State head coach James Franklin hosted a camp on Saturday for some of the Nittany Lions’ remaining targets for 2015 as well as some targets for 2016. The camp was successful, as Penn State picked up two commitments and extended offers to two top recruits for the 2016 class. Quarterback Jarrett Guarantano and cornerback Damar Hamlin both picked up offers from Franklin.
Earlier in the day Penn State received verbal commitments from 2015 wide receiver Irvin Charles and 2016 running back Miles Sanders.
A top quarterback for 2016, Guarantano is rated as the No. 5 pro-style quarterback by 247Sports. From New Jersey, Guarantano plays for Bergen Catholic. As a junior, he played in a split role and started the final four games of the year. He finished his junior year with 449 passing yards and two passing touchdowns.
Recruited heavily by Rutgers, Guarantano also holds offers from schools such as Clemson, Ohio State, Tennessee, Arizona State and Michigan State. The rising junior shared his latest offer on Twitter.

Hamlin is an in-state product from Pittsburgh’s Central Catholic. Franklin has made an effort to bring the top Pennsylvania recruits to Happy Valley, and Hamlin is definitely one he’ll want. The junior cornerback is rated as a 4-star recruit by 247Sports and is listed as the No. 15 prospect at his position.
He Tweeted out the news of his offer on Saturday.
