Two Penn State commitments in the Class of 2015 made a rise in the most recent update to the Top247 Rankings.
After a strong performance last week at The Opening in Oregon, Penn State commit Brandon Wimbush was one of the biggest risers in the latest update of the 247Sports rankings.
The dual-threat quarterback from New Jersey moved up from No. 178 to No. 80 nationally after an impressive performance at the Elite 11 Camp and The Opening in Oregon. He is now listed as the No. 3 recruit in New Jersey and the No. 5 overall dual-threat quarterback in the country.
Also rising up the Top247 Sports rankings was running back commit SaQuon Barkley, who moved into the rankings as the No. 156 player overall. Barkely was also praised for his performance last week at The Opening as being a player who showed great route running skills and ability to catch the ball out of the backfield.
Other notable Nittany Lion commits who appear on the list are; offensive lineman Steven Gonzalez at No. 76, running back Andre Robinson at No. 103, offensive tackle Ryan Bates at No. 124, wide receiver Juwan Johnson at No. 150, defensive tackle Adam McLean at No. 170, inside linebacker Jake Cooper at No. 184, and offensive tackle Sterling Jenkins at No. 193.
