Today’s Penn State news covers a multitude of topics. To start, two Penn State 2015 recruits have risen in the rankings thanks to their performances in The Opening and the Elite 11 Camp.

Also, super sophomore quarterback Christian Hackenberg has again landed on a preseason award watch list. This time, he’s a nominee for the Davey O’Brien Award, given to the nation’s top quarterback. Elsewhere, Penn State’s home opener against Akron has a noon kick time, the Nittany Lions are projected to go 9-3 and Black Shoe Diaries recalls a favorite former Nittany Lion.
