Thursday’s Penn State news continues to analyze the impact of the serious injury to linebacker Ben Kline. Already thin at linebacker, the Nittany Lions were going to count on Kline due to his experience and he had the chance to win a starting job. Elsewhere, with the start of the season coming closer, preseason honors are starting to come in. Tight end Jesse James has been named to the preseason first-team All-Big Ten team by the Sporting News. In recruiting news, 4-star quarterback Brandon Wimbush, who’s given his verbal to the Nittany Lions, continues to rise in the rankings according to ESPN.
