With the 2014 college football season a little over two months away, it’s the perfect time to start looking ahead. With two years still remaining (though there’s hope it’ll be reduced soon) on Penn State’s four-year bowl ban stemming from the NCAA sanctions, Nittany Lion fans have to make the most of the regular season contests, especially the ones at Beaver Stadium. This season, the home schedule features  seven games against traditional rivals, opponents rarely played and even a new Big Ten Conference member.

Last week, Penn State announced different theme days for all of the 2014 home games. While some of the matchups may need an extra appeal to get fans in the seats, others will draw a big crowd and great excitement based solely on the opponent. Fans are already excited for the upcoming season due to new head coach James Franklin and the attitude that he’s brought to the program.

The following slide show takes a look at three home games this season that Penn State fans should be extra excited to fill Beaver Stadium for.
