Penn State Football Morning Briefing: Nittany Lions Underdogs According to Vegas, 3-Star LB Commits, and Other News

This past weekend was an important recruiting weekend for the Penn State Nittany Lions, as several top recruits were in town to meet the coaching staff and attend some activities. On Saturday evening, 3-star linebacker Manny Bowen, who was in Happy Valley Saturday, became the 17th player to give a verbal commitment for the 2015 class. Also, Las Vegas released some early betting lines for 2014 and the Nittany Lions are underdogs in two matchups with Big Ten foes. Elsewhere, offensive lineman Brendan Mahon is profiled, Penn State’s opponents are power ranked and former athletic director David Joyner opens up on a variety of subjects about his tenure.
