Monday’s Penn State football news is on the light side due to the fact that there’s not much going on during the college football offseason other than some recruiting. With not much in the way of new news, several places bring player profiles leading up to the start of the season. Today, there are profiles on defensive end Garrett Sickels, tight end Jesse James and wide receiver Matt Zanellato. Elsewhere, PennLive says that the Nittany Lions are still holding strong despite the recent news that 4-star linebacker recruit Josh Barajas from Indiana decided to flip his commitment from Penn State to Notre Dame. Also, there’s a detailed profile on Brad “Spider” Caldwell, who’s decided to retire from his position as equipment manager at Penn State.
