The Penn State news over the weekend hits on a few different topics. Since new head coach James Franklin took over in January, the Nittany Lions have been dominating in recruiting and at one point this winter were ranked as the top class in the nation for 2015. While it’s been mostly good news on the recruiting front, Penn State fans found themselves having to deal with a bit of negative news on Friday afternoon when 4-star linebacker recruit Josh Barajas announced he was flipping his commitment from Penn State to his home state school of Notre Dame. In other recruiting news, Bleacher Report says that satellite recruiting camps, like what Penn State is doing, are a good idea for both the school and the recruits. Elsewhere, in a continuation of player profiles leading up to the start of the 2014 season, junior college transfer defensive end Tarow Barney is profiled.
