Penn State Football Morning Briefing: Former LB Shane Conlan Elected to College Football Hall of Fame, Recruiting Update and Other News

The highlight of today’s news is that on Thursday, the National Football Foundation announced it’s 2014 class for the College Football Hall of Fame. Former Penn State linebacker and fan favorite Shane Conlan became the 18th Nittany Lion player to be selected for the Hall. His official induction will take place in December. Elsewhere, there’s a weekly recruiting update on Penn State’s 2016 targets and 2015 verbal commit, linebacker Jake Cooper has risen in the recruiting ranking. Also three reasons for optimism with the Penn State offense in 2014 are explained and James Franklin talks facility upgrades at Penn State.
