Penn State now has kickoff times set for five of its games in 2014. The September 27 Homecoming Game against the Northwestern Wildcats has been set for a 12:00 pm kick. The game will be the 95th Homecoming in Penn State’s history. The Nittany Lions own a 67-21-5 Homecoming record.
This year’s game will be aired on ESPN or ESPN2, with a final decision likely being made about two weeks before the game. Northwestern will be the Homecoming opponent for the third time, previously paying the role in 2002 and 2012. The Nittany Lions were victorious both times. The Nittany Lions are 13-3 all-time against the Wildcats. The last matchup was in the 2012 Homecoming Game. Penn State mounted an impressive comeback in that one and pulled out the 39-28 win.
Aside from the game this year against the Wildcats, four other games have announced times for the 2014 season. Penn State opens the year in the Croke Park Classic in Dublin, Ireland against the UCF Knights. The time for that contest is 1:30 pm in Dublin, 8:30 am ET. Penn State will play at Rutgers on September 13 at 8:00 pm ET. The other announced times are October 11 at 7:00 pm ET at Michigan and October 25 at home against Ohio State at 8:00 pm ET.
