Things have been trending up for the Penn State Nittany Lions on the recruiting trail under head coach James Franklin. Tuesday was a huge day, with the Nittany Lions receiving commitments from two top recruits. 4-star offensive tackle Sterling Jenkins and 4-star quarterback Brandon Wimbush both gave their verbal commitments to Penn State within an hour of each other.
Of course, in this day and age, everyone knew what time the decisions were coming, so the online watches were underway. As soon as the decisions came down, the Penn State Twitter world went nuts, with journalists, fans, coaches and other recruits chiming in.
Below are just a few examples of the Tweets that were flying around as the verbal commitments were coming in.

The 2015 class is awesome! The 2014 class was also awesome! But the men that stayed at Penn State after the sanctions are second to none.

I know I shouldn’t be surprised, but it still remains kind of stunning how good James Franklin is at recruiting.
