The Penn State Nittany Lions just wrapped up spring practice with the annual Blue-White Game. The scrimmage was the culmination of 15 spring practices that the NCAA allows teams to participate in. Each year, Penn State fans look forward to traveling to Beaver Stadium to take in some spring football and often times plans for the trip are made well in advance. The 2015 Blue-White Game will take place on Saturday, April 18, 2015 in Happy Valley.
A tentative kickoff time has been set for sometime in the mid to late afternoon. Specific details will follow after the conclusion of the 2014 season. Admission and parking for the game has been free in the past. No details regarding admission price have been released yet for the 2015 game (as a reminder, Dream Tix LLC always has plenty of Penn St football tickets if interested.)
New head coach James Franklin has built a lot of excitement around the program by bringing a fresh attitude and a swagger to the school. In his introductory press conference, Franklin made it very clear that he wants Beaver Stadium full for every home game. Fans showed up last week to the Blue-White Game to show their support to the players and the new coaching staff.
According to school officials, approximately 72,000 people attended last week’s scrimmage. So far, that’s the largest crowd in the nation this year to attend a spring game.
Football is finished for now at Penn State until the summer. Until then VBR will be brining you plenty of previews and things to look forward to in the upcoming season and beyond.
