For the third straight season, the Penn State Nittany Lions will be clashing with the Ohio State Buckeyes in prime time. The matchup of Big Ten rivals is set for 8:00 pm ET on October 25 inside of Beaver Stadium.

The game will be the sixth time in the past 10 years the two schools have met for a night game.

Last season, the Nittany Lions traveled to Columbus for an 8:00 pm matchup. That meeting didn’t end well for a Penn State. The Nittany suffered a 63-14 drubbing at the hands of the Buckeyes. Ohio State last came to Beaver Stadium in 2012, also for a night game. The Buckeyes left that one with a 35-23 victory.

The tilt with the Buckeyes is Penn State’s third announced kick time so far of the 2014 season and the second announced in prime time. The Nittany Lions will travel to Michigan on October 11 for a 7:00 pm ET matchup against the Wolverines. That game will mark the first Big Ten night game ever played at Michigan Stadium.

Penn State will be playing at least one night game for the 15th straight season.

The Nittany Lions open the 2014 season on August 30 against the Central Florida Knights in Dublin, Ireland for the Croke Park Classic.
