Next Saturday, April 12th, will be the first opportunity for Penn State fans to get a look at the new head coach James Franklin and his 2014 Nittany Lions. The annual Blue-White Game, an organized scrimmage, is set to kick off at 1:30. Before the game will be plenty of festivities for fans to enjoy around the stadium at the Fan Festival. Returning this year is the popular player autograph session before the start of the game.
The event will be held inside Beaver Stadium from 10:45-11:30 a.m. The team is scheduled to arrive at the stadium at 10:15 a.m. and gates A and B will open at 10:30 for fans who wish to partake in the autograph session. Fans are asked to limit autographs to one item per player in an attempt to allow as many people through as possible.
Gates C, D and F will open at 12:00 p.m. for fans who are going to attend the game.
Fans arriving at Beaver Stadium early on Saturday can have fun at the Fan Festival, located on Curtain Road. The Fan Festival will feature interactive activities for kids, displays and vendors.
The annual Blue White Game is the culmination of 15 spring practice session for the Nittany Lions. As always, admission to the game and parking are both free. The autograph session is also free.
While the game won’t be televised live, the Big Ten Network will air it on tape delay at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
