It’s been over three months since fans have seen the Penn State Nittany Lions on the field. A lot has happened in those three months, most notably the hiring of James Franklin as the new head coach. The spring is an exciting time for players, coaches and fans alike, as it represents the first of any real football in several months. Along with spring practice comes plenty of projections and speculation about the depth chart and which players are going to step up and win a starting spot.

The Nittany Lions enter this time with a few open starting positions and several spots in the rotation to fill. Any number of players have a chance to move up the depth chart and make an impact for the 2014 season.

Heading into the first practice on St. Patrick’s Day, VBR brings you three players to keep an eye on as practice progresses.
