The Penn State Nittany Lions are less than a week away from beginning spring practice for the 2014 season. There is a lot of excitement surrounding the team this year, as new head coach James Franklin has brought in a pedigree of winning and a positive attitude that has already spread throughout the Penn State community. On the field, the Nittany Lions return several starters from the team that won seven games in 2013. While there are key starters returning, there are also some holes that need to be filled.

There are some position battles that will be interesting to keep an eye on over the next few weeks.
