Three former Penn State Nittany Lions are currently in Indianapolis for the NFL Combine. Offensive lineman John Urschel, defensive tackle DaQuan Jones and wide receiver Allen Robinson will all get a chance to perform in front of coaches and general managers from all 32 NFL teams in hopes of getting drafted in May’s NFL Draft.
The combine is an annual event where the top prospects in college football are invited to participate in drills that will showcase their talents for the professional teams. The prospects are put through a series of tests that measure their strength, agility and speed. The players are also given an IQ test, talk to the media and go through interviews with the teams.
Saturday was the first day of tests and featured offensive linemen, tight ends and special teams. That means John Urschel was the first Nittany Lion to participate. Allen Robinson will be up next on Sunday with the wide receivers, running backs and quarterbacks. Jones will get his chance on Monday when the defensive linemen and linebackers have their day.
A full list of statistics for each player at the combine can be found on NFL.com. The numbers for each Penn State player will be updated below.
VBR wishes John, Allen and DaQuan the very best as they pursue their professional dreams.
