The official letters keep rolling in early this morning. Defensive back Amani Oruwariye gave his verbal commitment to the Nittany Lions last week. He is yet another defensive back who will continue to add depth to a position that was a bit of a problem in 2013.

Ryan Snyder of BWI informed via Twitter that Oruwariye faxed in his letter.

Oruwariye is a 3-star recruit according to Lions247.com and is another player who had previously committed to Coach Franklin at Vanderbilt. He committed to the Commodores in October, but pulled his commitment on January 15th. He is the one of five recruits that flipped from Vanderbilt to Penn State.

He recently received an offer from the Missouri Tigers, but ultimately decided to follow Franklin to Happy Valley.

The secondary was a thin position on the depth chart this season, leading former head coach Bill O’Brien to convert former wide receivers Malik Golden and Trevor Williams to the defensive backfield. Oruwariye is yet another defensive back in the 2014 class who could play a big role in adding depth to an important position.
