The Nittany Lions wrap up the 2013 home portion of their schedule with a Senior Day visit from an old nemesis – the Nebraska Cornhuskers. The last time Nebraska visited Beaver Stadium, it was less than 2 weeks after the Jerry Sandusky scandal broke in State College. The times and the circumstances two years later are certainly different, but the desire to beat one of the nation’s premier football powerhouses remains the same.
Nebraska is coming off a 41-28 home loss to the Michigan State Spartans. That game was essentially a de facto Legend’s Division title game. So, with Nebraska out of the running for the Big Ten title, and Penn State performing much better at home than on the road, the savants in the desert have installed Penn State as a 2 point favorite heading into the game. What will the Nittany Lions have to do to avoid a letdown on Senior Day…keep reading to find out my keys to the big game on Saturday.
