Last week was a great weekend of football for a bye week, but it didn’t turn out well for my picks. I went 2-4 because I have no idea how to pick the SEC. I also picked Louisville to win their toughest game, but that was fine because seeing UCF beat them was well worth the loss.
This week on paper doesn’t look to great since the ranked teams that are playing each other could be blowouts.
Texas Tech (+7) at Oklahoma
Oklahoma is a really tough team to figure out. They seem to look good one week then go back and get blown out by Texas. Therefore, my logic here is I think Texas Tech will win this game and my pick will not reflect that.
Oklahoma 27 Texas Tech 17
UCLA (+23) at Oregon
ESPN Gameday will be at a game with a 3 touchdown spread. UCLA is coming off a poor performance vs. Stanford and now they have the Ducks so their hot start is about to hit a 2 game skid. UCLA has a nice team, but the PAC-12 is pretty solid this year. I think Oregon will lose, I just don’t think it’s this week.
Oregon 44 UCLA 21
South Carolina (+3) at Missouri
If Missouri wins this game, they will all but lock up a spot in the SEC title game. Missouri is still the new kid on the block here and I am enjoying seeing these newcomers come in and beat up this teams that Gary Danielson would like you to believe is invincible. I really want to pick Missouri here, but I can’t…. oh what the heck.
Missouri 26 South Carolina 21
Stanford (-4) at Oregon State
Oregon State suffered a terrible loss in week 1 and has bounced back nicely. I think they will give Stanford all they can handle, but Stanford wins on a late score. I am not sure what channel this is on but I don’t get the PAC-12 Network and that is annoying me. Just needed to vent.
Stanford 28 Oregon State 26
Northwestern (+4) at Iowa
I had to look at this spread a few times to see if it was right. This is Northwestern and their golden child coach correct? Also, all I read was that Iowa has the most overpaid coach so there is no way this could be. Well, it is and NW is not very good and Iowa is playing pretty well. Coach Fitz will still be a media darling after losing this one.
Iowa 24 Northwestern 19
Clemson (+14) at Maryland
All season people kept waiting to see when Clemson would begin “Clemsoning” and it didn’t happen. They got embarrassed by Florida State and now face a Maryland team that has lost a ton of great talent to injury. Clemson should win by no less than 45, therefore, I am picking Maryland
Maryland 27 Clemson 24 (OT)
Year to date record: 32-16 (1-7 Upset Special)
