Evil Bill O’Brien’s Weekly Pick Six To Go – Week 7

It’s been a long week and I have been staring at myself in the mirror all week.   Another 5-1 week last week and again, my upset special fell flat.  NorthwESPN suffered a tough loss and it was an even tougher loss if you were getting points vs. Ohio State (if that’s your thing).  Well, Pat Chambers beat Michigan this year so now it’s our turn.

Here are the picks for the week:

Missouri (+8) at Georgia

This line seems somewhat low, but I am not sure it matters since the game is at UGA.  Georgia pulled out what turned to be a tough road win at Tennessee and they may sleepwalk through the 1st half, but pull away late.

Georgia 34 Missouri 21

Florida (+7) at LSU

I picked Mississippi State to upset LSU last week.  That was a good pick for about 6 minutes and then LSU turned it on and crushed the Bulldogs.  Florida beat up on Bert last week and while that was nice to see, it won’t carry over this week.  LSU will stop Florida and run up a big win for Miles and company.

LSU 40 Florida 13

Oklahoma (-14) at Texas

While this game shouldn’t be close, it’s such a big rivalry game that I needed to pick it.  Also, earlier this year I thought Texas would rally around Mack Brown and win again and boy was I wrong.  This game will be the proverbial final nail in the Mack Brown coffin.

Oklahoma 38 Texas 9

Northwestern (+10) at Wisconsin

Northwestern usually follows up a tough loss with a blowout loss.  While that may not be entirely true, it will be this week.  Wisconsin is solid and much better coached than last year and the NW letdown is just to probable this week.

Wisconsin 27 Northwestern 20

Oregon  (NL) at Washington

A huge road test for Oregon at Washington is the game of the week.  Washington has turned the corner and almost pulled one out last week vs. Stanford.  A rough 2 game stretch for the Huskies, but they will make this a great game.  In the end, Oregon will just be too much.

Oregon 41 Washington 37

Upset Special

Stanford (-9) at Utah

Stanford pulled out that tough game vs. Washington at home and heads to Utah in what also could be considered a letdown game.  I don’t even hit upset specials so feel free to stop reading because this will probably be a dud of a pick too.  Just kidding, it’s a (near) lock.

Utah 29 Stanford 27

Year to date record:  26-10 (0-6 Upset Special)
