Evil Bill O’Brien’s Weekly Pick Six To Go – Week 2

Well, week 1 was a success.  FCS schools were winning games while SMU failed me on my upset special.  SMU has been failing every year it seems other than the 4 seasons when they broke every NCAA rule in the book.  Enough on those losers, a 5-1 start is something I can deal with.

This week stinks.  There are 4 games other than the PSU game worth tuning into so finding 6 games to pick was no small task.

Florida (-3) at Miami

This is now a big game for the ACC.  Clemson beat an SEC team and Florida State looked good Monday Night.  For the ACC to take that next step, Miami has to as well.  Miami has been looking over their shoulder for months waiting to hear from our friends at the NCAA.  This is a Golden (yeah baby, pun intented) opportunity for the Canes and they will cash in.

Miami 21 Florida 19

South Carolina +3 at Georgia

Georgia’s schedule is to be commended to start the year.  If they go 0-2 however, their fans will lose their small minds.  The Clowney Show got off to a slow start and after months of endless gushing, there were many left disappointed after the 1st game.   The OBC will have South Carolina ready to go, but will lose in the end to a desperate team.

Georgia 24 South Carolina 20

Illinois (+8) at Cincinnati

Illinois nearly blew a 22 point lead to Southern Illinois.  On SIU’s final drive, the poorly led Illinois Staff took a sideline interference penalty, which seems to be a trend for the Illini.  This game would be a push on the spread if not for Beckman who immediately brings a -8 to the table for any team he coaches.  Beckman also took a subtle jab at Penn State after the game on Saturday when he said, “In all honesty, I thought it was a little bit over-called, but for some reason, (the officials) have it in for Penn State and Illinois.”  Why is this buffoon adding fuel to an already out of control fire.  I cannot wait to stomp him.  Go Cincy.

Cincinnati 42 Illinois 18

West Virginia (+21) at Oklahoma

Remember when Dana Holgorsen was considered a great coach an offensive mastermind?  Yeah, well me neither.   A 3 TD underdog doesn’t really ooze with confidence.  I told you the games stunk this week.

Oklahoma 47 West Virginia 16

Michigan (-4) at Notre Dame

The last installment of a game that many view as a “who do I want to see lose more?” type of game.   I would like to see an undefeated UM show up at Penn State in October so I will select them as the victor, though I will not hail them.

 Michigan 26 Notre Dame 20

 Upset Special

When the games are this bad, any upset will suffice so I am just throwing a Hail Mary here.

 Arizona (-10) at UNLV

I have no logic for this pick other than the fact that I feel this line should be closer to 17.   Rich Rodriguez strikes me as a guy that heads to Vegas and loses a ton of loot.  Instead of loot, his lose a game and any momentum his team was building.

UNLV 31 Arizona 29
