And away we go! Penn State of course welcomed over 30 Class of 2014 prospects today for the annual Junior Day recruiting event. The hard work of the staff is already paying off. Fairfax, VA athlete Nick Scott bacame PSU’s 2nd verbal commitment for teh 2014 class, according to Ryan Snyer of BlueWhiteIllustrated.com:

Nick transferred to Fairfax this year from Massachusetts, and played primarily at running back. Both Penn State and Boston College (his other FBS offer) view him as a running back or wide receiver in college. While he did not have other reported offers, he unofficially visited Alabama, who had been showing interest, as had Maryland, Tennessee, and West Virginia. Scott is listed at 5’11”, 180 lbs, with a 4.5 40, and has not yet been ranked by the usual suspects.
In Nick’s highlights from the 2012 season, he shows very impressive speed, and impressive vision, that should translate well to either tailback or receiver once he arrives at Penn State. Nick, along with 2013 recruit Richy Anderson, and fellow 2014 RB Mark Allen give the Lions three young, quick players that can line up in the backfield or in the slot.
Welcome to Penn State, Nick!
