GERALD HODGES

A big NFL fan friend of mine asked me a few weeks ago who I thought PSU’s best NFL prospect was, and my mind immediately went to Hodges.  He’s a very athletic guy, who obviously is a product of Ron Vanderlinden’s coaching, reading the game very well.  I’m not sure if it’s a knock or not, but he’s also a guy that doesn’t have one or two elite skills.  Like with Jordan Hill, Gerald will need to demonstrate that athleticism to the NFL types to cement his place in the middle rounds, or possibly move up.  The recent success of guys like Sean Lee, Navorro Bowman, Paul Posluszny, and Dan Connor won’t hurt Hodges either.  The league knows what they get with a guy from Linebacker U.
