Northwestern (+11) at Michigan

Matt – Northwestern

This is a hard one to pick with the uncertainty with Denard’s elbow.  But 11 points is a lot, and Northwestern, while they have lost to good teams this year, has yet to be blown out in a game.  Michigan wins, but it’s close.

Tim – Northwestern

That is a ton of points for a team that you know is going to put up points. I love the Wildcats to keep this one close, if not to win straight up. This is probably my favorite bet of the week. And since the whole staff picked it, I will undoubtedly be wrong!

Corey – Northwestern

Michigan gets to enjoy the friendly confines of Michigan Stadium for the next two weeks, but will they be able to enjoy it without their “Mr. Everything,” Denard Robinson?  Robinson is splitting reps this week with backup Devin Gardner.  If Robinson does play, how much will the Wolverines staff let him run the ball fearing a setback?  There are just too many questions surrounding the face of their team.  If Robinson doesn’t go, I don’t see how Michigan covers this spread.  Even if he does go, I think Patt Fitzgerals and the Wildcats have enough to keep this one close and perhaps even get the win.  Gotta like Northwestern getting points in this one.

Craig – Northwestern

This is problem the most interesting. Will it be Shoelaces or Gardner? Does it even matter? I’m hoping that Northwestern comes out and puts up a fight and keeps it single-digits.
