I feel like Ohio State ruined the Iowa celebration. If Penn State had won at Iowa in dominating fashion, with Indiana looming on the schedule, Penn State fans would have celebrated for 6 days. Instead, focus shifted almost immediately to the upcoming game against Ohio State, completely disregarding what had just happened. Let’s take a break from OSU and revel in victory for a moment.
We’ll pick up the game right around halftime…
1st half stats: Penn State outgained Iowa 304-99. Outrushed Hawkeyes 108-5. Iowa just 1-for-7 on third downs. McGloin 196 pass yards, 2 TDs

Penn State has as many touchdown receptions in the first half as Iowa has all season so far. — Drew Balis (@drewBbalis) October 21, 2012
Good to know Penn State fans weren’t the only ones looking ahead!
Penn State continues it’s demolition of Iowa, up 31-0. Not even the guy at Buffalo Wild Wings could send this game into overtime..

Would have taken several pop-up sprinklers!
I really don’t think Penn State is that good (sorry), so Iowa must be this bad. — Dave Heller (@dave_heller) October 21, 2012
This was a pretty common sentiment. Iowa MUST be bad since they lost to 5-2 Penn State…
I loved that quote, myself. Those announcers were awful.
Lol “Iowa 0″ is trending…Penn State 38 – Iowa 0

I’ll drink to that!
You could hear a pin drop late in the game. Chant may have been 6 people.
Ahhh a vacated win joke. Whatever makes you feel better about a whoopin.

Love this pic.
Penn State had more first downs (28) than Iowa had rushing yards (20).

My personal stat man.
Penn State and Iowa will not meet again until November 7, 2015. I’ll miss this game the next two years. — Drew Balis (@drewBbalis) October 21, 2012
Iowa’s officially a basketball school! We’ll get Penn State back in basketball! — M®. Mille® (@IowaHawkGuy) October 21, 2012
Can’t argue with that…
The Iowa Penn State game proves one thing… Michigan State sucks
— Rob Batt (@RobBatt80) October 21, 2012
While I don’t love the logic, the truth remains.
Remember when Iowa fans were upset that people were picking Penn State to win? Haha
— Jimmy K (@JimmyKoury) October 21, 2012
I distinctly remember that!
