According to Rivals.com, Penn State has offered a scholarship to Deleware junior linebacker, Troy Reeder. Reeder is listed at 6’3″ 230 pounds, which is tremendous size for a junior. Rivals also credits him with a 4.5 second 40 yard dash, a 465 pound squat max and a 33 inch vertical, all very impressive measurements. He also plays quarterback, which really isn’t fair.
Troy Reeder is not only a standout football player. He committed to play lacrosse at North Carolina last winter but that seems to be up in the air as his football recruitment has taken off.
Early in his junior year, Reeder already has offers from Virginia, Rutgers and Delaware to go with his latest from Penn State. He has a 4 star composite ranking from 247 Sports, who call him the 2nd best 2014 Delaware prospect and the 11th best inside linebacker prospect in the nation.
Keep in mind when watching his FILM that it is from his sophomore film, making it even more impressive. I wouldn’t be surprised if Reeder is one of the top players on the east coast, once he has been graded out by all the services. Kind of surprising given his size, but his quarterback highlights aren’t too shabby either. However, this kid will be a linebacker at the next level. And probably a good one.
