Penn State returns home to the friendly confines of Beaver Stadium Saturday.  They will be taking on the Navy Midshipmen, a team they have not faced since 1974.  The Lions are coming off a last-second heartbreaking loss to the Virginia Cavaliers last weekend while Navy was off after their trip to Dublin, Ireland two weeks ago where they were throttled by Notre Dame.

Win #1 of the Bill O’Brien era has eluded the Nittany Lions, but they played much better last weekend.  They had quite a number of opportunities to win the game, but it just wasn’t meant to be.  This week the focus will once again be on the Nittany Lions defense as they have to prepare for one of the most difficult formations, the triple option, of any in the nation.

Will the Lions get off the schneid this weekend or will the losing streak continue?  Continue reading to find out what I’ll be watching for as Penn State battles it out with Navy on Military Appreciation Day at Beaver Stadium.
