Penn State Message Board Meltdown

Following each Penn State loss this season, I will compile a list of comments from folks who have posted on message boards to give everyone a good idea about where the Nittany Lions stand in the world.

Here is a glimpse into Nittany Nation following the week one loss to Ohio…

“I’m not impressed with O’brien either. I was under the impression, falsely created by his supporters, that he was the offensive/tight end genius that would take us to new heights unlike our former coach who only had us wandering in the desert. It also sounds alot like Weiss and Notre Dame and we all know how that ended. Belichick is the genius of the Patriots. not Weiss, and it certainly wasn’t O’Brien”

“After all the talk about Bill O’Brien being some sort of offensive guru, I was shocked at how pathetic the offense looked in the second half.  I’m thinking that O’Brien maybe has been given too much credit for the New England Patriots success, when in reality it was Tom Brady that deserved more of the credit.”

“I said when BOB was hired that we would lose to Ohio, Virginia, and possibly Temple.  All of the Kool-Aid drinkers that just KNEW! that BOB would be the best offensive coach ever here were ridiculous… and you only have to look at his offensive rankings at Duke for proof of it.  The assistant hires were miserable as well… with Ted Roof being the crap cherry on the crap sundae.”

“This team (and defensive coaching staff) suck. What an awful showing. See you all back in the mediocre box in 10-20 years.”

“I’ll admit I’m not an O’Brien fan. Not his fault perhaps, he was sent by the very same people who have destroyed this program and are set on erasing the memory of everything Paterno. O’Brien is definately part of the reeducation ministry and the names on the uniforms are a slap in the face from where I sit. Shame, was a tradition probably without equal. Going to be a long year for you folks with delusional expectations of a miracle rebirth here.”

“I haven’t seen this much  bull sh%t and quick conclusions written down since the Freeh report, and that was a pile of crap unmatched by anything in history.”
