Penn State was defeated by Ohio on Saturday, 24-14. Here is who shined in the contest:

Offensive Player of the Game

Allen Robinson led the Big Ten with nine catches in week one. phobo by Andrew Weber-US Presswire

Allen Robinson

While Robinson did not have a great second half, neither did the rest of the Nittany Lions offense. Matt McGloin’s second half actually cost him a chance at this fake award. Robinson was the clear feature of the offense, early on. His nine catches led the conference for week one and he was just three yards short of 100. There was a play in the first half where Robinson was headed toward the left pylon with no green jersey in his area code, but McGloin didn’t see him.

I expect him to be a big part of this season’s offense.

Honorable Mention: Kyle Carter
