It seems that Joe liked to handle things internally.  In this case that was a very bad decision.  Spanier was in charge.  I would say he should be the one to take responsibility.

My biggest question about all of this is what do people know about how pedohpiles operate?  I wish someone would have asked Freeh about this.  Jerry Sandusky was an intelligent and trusted person.  I think all four dropped the ball but I’m not sure how much they knew about the subject.

I happen to be a volunteer United States swimming official.  This organization is going through the same issue but with much less publicity.  USA swimming now requires training on the subject, including a very enlightening video.  What surprises me is when I tried to find some info on the USA incidents to compare to ours, I found a few posts that seemed to indicate that they may still have issues.  I hope that does not happen to us.
