RB Zaire Williams, CB Eric Church at Penn State Camp Today

Penn State is hosting a stable of standout prospects today and through the weekend. Names like Alex Anzalone, Christian Hackenberg, Chance Stewart and Adam Breneman are or will be on campus soon. (Tyler Boyd suffered a groin injury Wednesday and his status was undetermined.

Joining them will be a couple of players looking for Penn State offers.

Eric Church is a 5’10″ 170 pound two star corner from New Jersey. His only division 1 offer right now is from Kent State, who offered this week. However, Penn State is looking to take a couple more DBs in this class and if Church can impress the coaches, he could be in position for an offer.

Zaire Williams is a 5’11″ 190 pound RB who rushed for 1600 yards and 28 TDs last season. He is rated as a three star but has offers from Pitt, Wisconsin, Iowa, WVU and others.

Both are teammates of current PSU commit DT Greg Webb and could be on commit alert if either were to earn a scholarship offer.

The Nittany Lions are in good shape with RBs David Williams and Derrick Green but both are taking their time. It should be interesting to see how the staff handles this situation if they’re blown away by Zaire.
