This is a pretty special day in my world and I’m glad I get to share it with you.
The individual player ratings for EA Sports’ NCAA 13 video game (which comes out in about 5 weeks) have leaked onto the internet, via screen shots. It’s time to start gauging who is going to be video-game-awesome!
Penn State’s top player is Silas Redd, who is a 95 overall, with 92 speed and 93 acceleration. He’s the 3rd highest rated running back on the game.
The linebackers all show up as top players for Penn State:
Mauti: 89 Overall, 81 Speed
Carson: 88 Overall, 80 Speed
Hodges: 87 Overall, 80 Speed (Underrated?)
Fortt : 84 Overall, 84 Speed (Fortt has been a 91 speed the last 2 years. That was fun.)
Justin Brown got a big bump. He’s now an 85 overall with 93 speed. That speed with his size will make him dangerous.
Fellow WR Devon Smith is an 83 with 94 speed.
Adrian Amos is still listed as a safety, but he’s an 87 overall with 95 speed. By the time he’s a senior, he’ll be a monster.
DT Jordan Hill (Underrated), C Matt Stankiewitch and DE Sean Stanley are all listed as 84 overall and do-it-all kicker Anthony Fera comes in at an 87.
Starting corners Curtis Drake (yep) and Stephon Morris are both listed as 81 overall with 92 and 94 speed, respectively.
Bill Belton won’t be much of a factor, as he comes in at 77 with 88 speed.
Who am I forgetting… Oh yeah:
Paul Jones: 77 Overall, 80 Speed
Matt McGloin: 77 Overall, 65 Speed
Rob Bolden: 75 Overall, 75 Speed
Throwing ratings not available.
For the whole team, go to the 12:08 point of this video!
