Penn State Recruiting: Greg Webb Names a Top 5

Greg Webb, who visited Penn State on March 24th and Maryland last weekend has told me that there are five schools in the running for his services.
Ohio State, Michigan, Texas A&M, Alabama and Penn State are the finalists to land the 4 star DT from New Jersey. Webb’s teammate, DE DaJaun Drennon was on campus last weekend and named Penn State as his top school shortly after. When asked if they had discussed the idea of playing college ball together, Webb replied

“Yes sir, we both loved Penn State.”

While Webb says he doesn’t have a timetable for a decision, he did tell me that he doesn’t have any visits set up in April. That could be significant, or it could just be a matter of time until he schedules some.
Either way, landing in a player’s top 5 is always a step in the right direction.
