Finally. It seems like we’ve been waiting for this since before O’Brien was hired. Oh, what’s that? We were? Oh, well that explains it then!
Bill O’Brien has successfully taken the first step in building that proverbial “fence” around Pennsylvania. By keeping one of the nation’s top players in-state, while winning his 2nd straight head-to-head battle with Urban Meyer, O’Brien has officially claimed his spot as a strong recruiter. Tonight in front of a packed gym at his high school, Adam chose Penn State over finalists, Notre Dame, Maryland and Ohio State.
While much of the Penn State family is more relieved tonight than anything else, the idea of adding a 5 star tight end to a Bill O’Brien offense is certainly something to be excited about.
With QB Christian Hackenberg and TE Adam Breneman anchoring the offensive side of this class, things are definitely headed in a positive direction. Adam was number 3 on our list of top 10 most important recruits.
