Lucas was another recruit who was offered after Bill O’Brien took over. I’m honestly not sure why Lucas didn’t have bigger offers. The recruiting sites say that Virginia, Rutgers and UConn all showed interest, but none offered. Whatever the reason, Penn State should be happy to benefit from it. Lucas shows fantastic ball skills and isn’t afraid to hit.
He could see the field as a freshman because of the lack of depth in the defensive backfield.
