With National signing day looming, we are going to take a look at each Penn State recruit who will be suiting up next fall.
With only one early-enrolee this year, we’ll start there.
Jesse James
Mckeesport, PA
*** TE
6’7″
245 lbs.
Offers:
Pitt
Toledo
Penn State
James committed last March, shortly after a visit to Penn State. He was a 3 year starter in high school at both DE and TE but is projected as a TE at the next level. He is a 3 star tight end and recently played in the Semper Fidelis All-American game.
Many expect him to blossom under coach Bill O’Brien, the current coach of standout NFL TEs Aaron Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski. It’s probable that Jesse will redshirt as a freshman, but a thin depth chart coupled with James’ early-enrollment could result in him seeing the field next fall.
