Penn State picked up Malik Golden tonight, another good CB to go along with Armani Reeves.
Height/Weight: 6’1 185
Offers: Penn State, Iowa, Boston College, and UConn.
Strengths
- Good size to go with his above-average speed
- Good build
- Breaks well on the ball
Weaknesses
- A bit tight in the hips…could only play in a zone scheme
- Competition is a question
Golden is a really solid prospect. Was getting recruited as a WR at the other colleges so he brings some versatility, but his home will be at CB. He actually did commit to PSU during his visit so the BC visit was odd, but still…he’s going to be wearing Blue and White.
The rest of the DB prospects? Cox, Tyson, and a JUCO who just popped up the last week or so. Will address him tomorrow.
Could be the last commitment for a while. Severin will decide soon, but PSU may not be the choice there. Mahone will take his time now. As will Cox, Tyson, and Fuller. Jones doesn’t seem in anyway hurry. Spence will announce at the Under Armour Game. Taylor won’t decide until December. Actually, Lynch will probably switch or solidify sometime in September. So after the crazy month of August, things will slow down.
